Canadian Red Cross provides relief as Saskatchewan fires force 13,000 from homes

The Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management team assisted more than 7,800 people evacuated from the province’s northern region, running five shelter locations providing items such as cots, blankets, hygiene kits and nutritious meals to help keep people as comfortable as possible. 280 trained Red Cross personnel were involved from across Canada on the ground for the response with many others coordinating from a distance.
